AECOverse (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates aecoverse.com, a job board serving the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations (AECO) technology industry. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website.

  • Job seekers: When you apply for a job, we may collect your name and email address. We do not collect CVs or resumes — applications are directed to the employer’s own website.
  • Employers: When you submit a job listing, we collect your name, company name, job title, application URL, email address, and job description.
  • Newsletter subscribers: When you subscribe to our weekly briefing, we collect your email address.
  • Contact form: When you contact us, we collect your name, email, company name, and message content.

Information collected automatically:

  • IP address and browser type
  • Pages visited and time spent on site
  • Referring website
  • Device type and operating system

This data is collected via Google Analytics 4 and standard server logs.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Publish and manage job listings on the platform
  • Send the AECO Weekly Briefing newsletter to subscribers
  • Respond to enquiries submitted via our contact forms
  • Analyse site usage to improve the user experience
  • Prevent spam and fraudulent job submissions

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Job Applications

AECOverse does not collect resumes, CVs, or application materials. When you click “Apply for job”, you are redirected to the employer’s own website or application portal. Any data you submit during the application process is governed by that employer’s privacy policy, not ours.

4. Newsletter

If you subscribe to the AECO Weekly Briefing, your email address will be stored and used solely to send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email. We will never send unsolicited commercial email or share your email address with third parties.

5. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies: Required for the website to function (e.g., WordPress session cookies).
  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4 uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data. You can opt out via Google’s opt-out tool.

  • Google Analytics 4 — website analytics (Google Privacy Policy applies)
  • Hostinger — web hosting provider (data stored on EU servers)
